An evening with Chris Heaton in aid of the Brathay Trust
We’re delighted to announce that Chris Heaton has agreed to give us a talk about his latest running adventures. Most of you will know Chris from "It's Grim Up North Running" (and other) events. But did you know that he’s also a multi-day endurance runner who has run in some of the most extreme conditions in the world, including Siberia, the Gobi Desert and completed 30 marathons in 30 days?!
In this talk, Chris will amaze us with tales of derring-do and tell us about some of the extreme conditions he has faced whilst running marathons: from well below freezing to very hot indeed!
This will be a fascinating evening where Chris will share his highs and lows and illustrate them with the stunning photographs he has taken along the way. Plus there’ll be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion during the evening.
And as if coming to hear Chris speak wasn’t enough, your entry donation includes refreshments on arrival, including IGUN’s famous home-made cakes! There’ll also be a raffle on the night with some pretty special prizes, including a night at a Brathay Lodge in Ambleside and "It's Grim Up North Running" race places and merchandise.
All proceeds will go to The Brathay Trust
