Exactly what was needed
A big thank you to the Grim team for a really well-run event (pun intended). Communication was spot on. Attention to health and well-being, gladly in focus, good call on the route switch. Friendly and fun.

Changed Route but still very good
Well organised as usual. Was disappointed this wasn’t a trail but the right decision was made to change it.
My Achilles strained after 15k but with it being a there and back, I struggled on in agony which affected my time heavily…hey-ho, thems the breaks!!

Absolutely loved it
Last min route change due to safety concerns, absolutely right call and very quick to come up with a plan B. Very friendly event, super Marshalls giving their time up which is very much appreciated. Fab feed stations and the Dahl at the end was beautiful. Fab day out, thank you Grim

Lovely Sunday Canal run
Due to flooding on the river Aire a last minute change to the course was required to ensure safety. It was perfectly handled and regular Grim runners are all well familiar with this stretch of the canal so no problems . Usual wonderful Grim atmosphere with awesome hot food provided at the finish.

A good flat scenic route along the canal
Had to change route last minute due to weather. This was very well communicated and the run was still lovely.

Well looked after from start to finish.
Grim altered the route due to bad weather - absolutely the right call and makes me have even more confidence in the race team than I already did. Small but friendly 20 mile event. Canal running isn't for everyone but I'm beginning to love the mental battle of an out and back. Took ill after 10 miles - balance issues - but was well looked after by the ladies on the aid station and the photographer - thank you! My friend continued the race but once I'd recovered sufficiently I helped out serving the hot food. I'll be back for sure xx

Everything was seamless, including the notification of course changes for safety reasons (impressive, booked events elsewhere before that have either gone ahead ‘at own risk’ or been cancelled.
