Very well organised. Everyone was very friendly as usual.

I took a tumble near the end. I got much appreciated help cleaning my self up. However, you didn't have a First Aid kit and couldn't find any plasters. This wouldn't have been as bad, but it was a 10 minute walk to the car.

Great event - well organised

My first Grim event and thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely friendly team, relaxed and fabulously encouraging marshals. Hats off out in the cold temps being there for hours! Toilets a distance away from start but used it as my warm up to nip back before the race and after registering. Lovely scenery on the canal and will definitely do again and will try other GrimUpNorth events. Well done everyone!

Disappointing

Was really underwhelmed with this event.
Have done many races and this was the absolute worst I have ever been to for atmosphere at the finish line.
No acknowledgment whatsoever for any of the finishers. Let alone the winners who had worked so hard to achieve what they did.
Imagine completing your first Marathon and being completely ignored at the finish line.
Same medals for everyone/ not one portaloo/ idiot walkers being allowed to wander over the finish line while people are trying to picture their loved ones crossing the finish line.
I won the half marathon and didnt even know it until eight hours later when the results were finally published.
Says it all really

Super positive vibes

Loved how friendly and community led this felt, with great marshals and goodies on the finish line.

Lovely canalside run

Delightful if invigorating run (chilly at the start but running always helps).

Another lovely event from grim

Brilliant marshalls, well organised, well stocked aid stations, good clear race briefing at the beginning. Was quite worried about no bogs at the start cos I'd parked elsewhere and had to have an emergency bush wee - when you're doing the ultra and you're out for 5 hours you can't really hop out for an extra 10 mins navigating back to the rugby club. For 50+ quid I'd have hoped for a solitary portaloo! That said I have absolutely no idea how much one costs, could be super prohibitive, and I love the IGUN team and will deffo be coming along again in future

Love range of distances.

The website said registration was in the rugby club but it was on the canal. Although I had time it did stress me out a bit because I’m not an experienced runner.

Great

I know portaloos are too expensive now, but having the start line / end of loop line at least 600m from the nearest toilets in the rugby club would definitely be a barrier to entry for some of my female running friends

Marshalls deserve a medal

The route was very nice, scenic and even the sub zero temperature didnt spoil it.
Im not a massive fan of out/back, out/back but thats a me problem.
I was inpressed with the organisation and well stocked aid stations, and the marshalls were brilliant to keep cheerfull and supoortive in freezing conditions. I would definately reccomend and will come again myself. Thanks

Lovely

Another great event by the Grim team. I’ve run a few Grim events and as usual, always great to run along the canal with like minded runners. As mentioned before, if other walkers and canal walkers would give way it would help the event.
