Organisation Organisation Organisation
I have done many events with grim up north , 1. distances always take with a pinch of salt because they never match up with your gps usually short. 2. Organisation is the biggest issue yes lots more runners took part this year but registration 9.00 race starts 930 for several distances, the staff was overwhelmed and it didn't make it any easier when you kept informing people to move forward when they clearly wasn't room which led to the ladies doing the numbers to get upset and flustered. 3. love the medals always a great design & quality .

Brilliant run, route and atmosphere!
Lovely race in the north - nice to not have to travel miles and miles for a race and have them local to Hull as they’re few and far between. Really nice route and organised great. Sadly registration was very very slow and wasn’t organised the best and the toilet facilities were… grim!

Nice event but needs a few tweaks
10km route was slightly short, they are a small team so turning up to registration early is a must to avoid the queues. Car parking was plentiful but you had to drive through the course to get out. 10km was tarmac not trail, but a simple, well signed and marshalled route. Feed station and post event snacks and drinks were excellent and a lovely medal to boot.

Overall good event
Staff were lovely and really friendly. Unfortunately the registration was very slow and a bit chaotic.
The water stations were amazing and really inclusive with gluten free and vegan snacks.

Great GRIM as always
Great to be able to run 5K - especially in this heat. Very disappointing not option for summer Sewerby or Hornsea

My first Grim event, and my first race since starting to run. I really enjoyed the atmosphere - everyone was so friendly!

A good even with great volunteers
The registration should have started earlier too many people at once. Resulted in long queues and delayed start.
Staff were all amazing, a good event, would have preferred not to have to carry a cup around the race.

Straight forward 10k route
Good event, me and my partner enjoyed it - potential improvement could be changing the finish line and the car park exit so that runners don’t have to worry about cars and give versa -

Enjoyed the hull 5k
Get the hull out of here
No Marshall at a crucial turn point
I was First Lady all through this race but due to no Marshall being at the point to indicate a left turn from the route and poor signage I missed the turn and ended up lost relying on the publics help. Doing over 7 miles and not in the position I had been in all the race. Queues very long for numbers and toilets

Fab marshals, the BEST medal and awesome treats and snacks!
Sorry I didn’t thank the marshals as I went by, the heat affected my ability to speak coherently

Enjoyable
Seemed a bit delayed beforehand, but Im not complaining, must be hard with everyone registering manually in a short window of time.
Enjoyable and well organised.
I didnt need the toilet beforehand and good job as the queues were ridiculous.

My first Grim event, fab support, great organisation. I struggled in the heat today. But still loved the run.
Will defo do another Grim up North run. Love my medal, top quality.

Great race
It’s only a small team, so turn up in good time!

Great event
Great organisation even though there was a lot of runners . Lovely course and a great medal . Thanks
Steve Lightowler
Loved it!
Was a great event but registration was slow, event staff did their best but was not enough of them.
The route was 9.92km and not 10km other runners also commented it was a little shorter than 10km.
I loved it today though and in that heat I'm super chuffed with it. Onto the next one!

Lovely flat course
Well organised as usual, very friendly atmosphere, brilliant marshalling by everyone, would definitely recommend to all abilities to give it a go
