Well organised friendly event. Lots of support from those that took part made it a really sociable get together. I like the fact you have a choice of distance and no matter what distance we are in some way connected.

My second event from the Grim Up North Team and another cracker - clear course and route with marshals and food / drink stations. Even had the weather for this one and rude not to have fish and chips post marathon hehe

Good for first half marathon
Lovely, quiet route with plenty of snack and hydration stations. Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxed event.
The marshals could be clearer at crossings — I was directed the wrong way, and my friend experienced the same issue a few minutes earlier.
A proper Start/Finish sign would be nice to be able to take a finishing photos, which would have been a nice memory from the day. At the moment, it feels a little more like a parkrun than a half-marathon/ marathon event.

It is just a trail run
The event was on the trail. However in many places it was congested with public. Lots of families walking, people bike riding and dog walkers. They wasn't any atmosphere sadly due to being a small event. Sadly wouldn't complete again. Disappointing race route, wasn't worth the traveling time for me.

Awesome race full of happy friendly folk!
I have loved Grim as a race organiser since 2018 but today was faultless. From the atmosphere to the well stocked feed stations, to the briefing and the course marshalls. Everyone was kind, friendly, warm and accommodating. I had invited a friend along for the first time and I felt very proud to introduce them both to such an inviting community and a well held event!

The staff were all lovely and extremely friendly. It wasn't a massive turn out but that made me fell better as it was my first one. I'd defo come and do it again x

My first running event in years and didn't disappoint. Well organized and great atmosphere. Will be doing the next one.
Super friendly event. Staff and supporters were all great. Could always use more marshals but I guess they are volunteers so their time is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for another great event with a smashing medal and great post race snacks.

Very Accommodating
I emailed the team about how no toilets being open at the start would be an issue for me and they were really helpful and postponed the start by 20 minutes so I would be able to go. Really lovely of them to do this otherwise I would have been anxious all night and probably wouldn’t have done the race.
