It's never "Grim up North"
This was my first Grim up North event and It was brilliant, It was friendly, well organised, good fun, excellent feeding stations, well manned with plenty of super friendly marshals'.
The directions were very clearly marked, there was a fun and lively atmosphere.
The photography and medal were also outstanding quality. I purchased a hat and hoodie, again fabulous quality and value for money.
I look forward to attending Grim up North events in the future.

Friendly. Great atmosphere.
Great event. The marshalls/event staff were very friendly and motivating. Lovely atmosphere all round. Hilly - but then so is Knaresborough - so to be expected!

Great fun

Beware of the inclines !!
A lovely event, yes there’s banks to run up but also to run down too.
A popular event with other distances taking place at the same time so be prepared for moving over to allow runners coming passed.
Well organised, and the finish.. best finish line bar none.. drinks, hot food, cakes, crisps and your medal.
We ran this as a club event; a mix of abilities all of whom thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you for taking the time to review. Thank you so much for your kind words. It's lovely to hear you came as a club. Hopefully we'll welcome you again in the near future.

Beautiful scenery
Although the hill at the start was a surprise, the whole event was brilliant. Well organised and marshalled as with all the grim events. Loved it!
Thank you for the fabulous review. We like to throw the odd hill in. Well done.

Great introduction to GUNR
Fab scenery and as friendly as everyone said it would be.
Loved the Hotdog too!
Couldn't say the same about the hill at the start though!
Thanks for your review. So lovely to hear that this is your first time with Grim and that you enjoyed it. See you again and well done :-)

Lovely to hear you enjoyed the event. Thanks for the review.

Nothing GRIM about this one...
...apart from the hill at the start
Well you know, without the hills it wouldn't be Grim up North :-) Thanks for the review.
Tracey Harkins

Good Race
The Race is set in a lovely place and the staff running it are extremely friendly and supportive.
Lots of lovely snacks and food along the way which is a moral booster.
It could have done with a portaloo somewhere along the trail as the public ones were ideally located.
Also the trail was very busy with walkers and cyclists so at points may it difficult to pass.
Overall is was a great event and would definitely do another one but probably at a different place.
Thanks for taking the time to make a review. Really glad you enjoyed the event. Yes it was a busy day today on the trail, this is weather dependant and today was a beautiful day. we don't have portaloos along any of our trails, this is due to cost over anything else. We simply couldn't afford to do this at all our events. It would be lovely to see you at one of our other events

Brilliant but brutal!
This is a brilliant but brutal run. A mile and a quarter up hill from the start is a tough start but then it flattens out so you can your breath back in time to do it all again
Thank you for taking the time to review. I like it Brilliant but Brutal, a good heading for an event. Well done and see you again soon :-)

Great run through glorious countryside
Real mix of a course with a bit of a slope at the start which gets harder each time you do a lap but the path is ideal and course and location of the food stations good. Nice support shown from spectators and the other runners. I just ran rather than raced this one with a friend but loved it.
Hi, thank you for the review, so glad you enjoyed all aspects of this run. Bring a friend to race with next time. Well done.
Rebecca Cooper
Brilliant but tough course!
Well organised, friendly and welcoming! It’s a tough course with a few hills that are killer, but great course and I did manage a PB somehow!
Thank you for the review. Flipping eck, how does anyone get a PB on that course. Very well done :-)
