Friendly for hobby runners
Lovely 6.7 mile course (About 10.6k according to my Garmin) . Friendly and supportive atmosphere with no pressure to go fast and good mix of running and walking over mixed terrain. Good parking at the pub (£5 cash to park on field) and nice to get a pint (in my case a 0% Estrella Galicia) and a seat at the finish. Didn't have the chip butty as the queue seemed to keep growing.
First time running with its grim up north. The event was very well organised. The course was fun and in a beautiful setting with a mixture of single track, woods, fields, and pavements. Water/ sweet stations were very much appreciated. Everyone was very encouraging and friendly which pleased me as I was initially put off signing up for this as I was concerned this would be full of 'real' runners and trail runners . There were plenty of "well dones" from the marshals and other runners and no pushing past by the 'serious' runners and always a "thank you" when you let them past. It's certainly wet my appetite for trail running as much more engaging than slogging around roads.

Scenic but challenging mixed terrain trail
A great trail run course with a bit of everything, including some tough inclines. Great, friendly atmosphere as per usual. Highly recommended.
Only fly in the ointment for me was the charge for car parking in an unmown field and the limited refreshments available at the end. Still, a good venue really.

Beautiful route, serious foliage in some spots, great time had.
Lovely race, well organised, shame about the wait for chip butties at the end. Otherwise spot on.

Perfect day
The weather was beautiful which made this a perfectly enjoyable race. The location and scenery are outstanding and the race is super friendly, well organised, marshalled and signposted.

A really tough course but great fun and very scenic.
The route had a bit of everything - road, track, mud, fields, cobbles, tough hills and even a water crossing
Fab race

An amazing trail race, bit of everything and even better on my doorstep
Another fabulous Grim race that I've come to expect. Warm welcome at registration, fabulous marshall. Medal represents the event perfect. You can't pick better than a Grim race.

Awesome
My first time at this one, was explained so well.

Third year attending this event, its one we look forward to now.
Just a small grumble, with charging £5 for parking the field could have been cut. I was a little worried driving my small fiat 500 through the very long grass.

Lovely event with challenging terrain
Starting and finishing at the pub was a great idea .
Queue for chip butties was slower than expected but it is what it is .
Would have liked a pic of the abbey on the medal or name of event . Although i did like the medal anyways .
