A little too undulating for me.

Nice scenery and a well organised event, as grim up north events always are, but definitely challenging and not for the inexperienced runner. Described as "undulating", which is a bit of an understatement, at least 10k of the than half marathon route involves climbing some pretty steep hills!

Not one I will do again, but worth a look if you enjoy hillier, more challenging routes.

Super event

Yes - this was the first time I ran this event so I ended up parking at Booths as the instructions said I could park at 'the supermarket'. I googled 'biggest supermarket in Settle' and that came up. I suggest you need to be specific about which supermarket for new folk because it's likely I've got a ticket. I was running late and couldn't move the car. Also, there's a swimming pool charity shop which is what my GPS took me to. Other than that - great day thanks.

Lumpy but lovely

It is hilly! The organisation and the Marshals were top quality. Had loads of fun here today.

Love this race, but…

Love this race, but it’s a touch hilly!
But somehow, I’ve managed a 1/2 Marathon PB on it today!

A fab, friendly event

Loved this event! Well organised and friendly. The hills were worth it for the views. And the bacon butties and other goodies at the end were an added bonus. Would definitely recommend

It’s not Grimm up North!

Perfect early season race in stunning countryside organised by really friendly people. Superb value for money and would highly recommend.

Blessed with a lovely day and beautiful scenery, who could ask for more? Lovely route with some challenging sessions, but everyone looked to be enjoying it.

Ouch!

If you want a challenge then settle half is definitely that!
It wasn't by no means easy but got round with a sore calf...would it do it next year?!
