Loved it, very friendly, but a few little issues!

The location of “next to Salt Mill” could have been clearer, many of us parked at the Salt Mill carpark only to discover it wasn’t there. I’m not from the area and found it very difficult to find the start! Staff very friendly, well organised, great food at the end…
Agree with other comments on the water stations, they were very poor, especially for the longer distances. If you wanted a drink you either had to pour it yourself or stop and wait for someone to pour it into a small cardboard cone! The description also said “food and drink stations every 3 miles” which didn’t seem to be the case. However, I really did love the day, and will be coming back next year!

Excellent As Always

Another fabulous event from the Grim Team. Excellently organised as their events always are. Always a pleasure to run at these. Looking forward to 'Besotted at Bingley' next month. Well done all.

Loved it!

Perfect run for a first timer! It was my first 10k and it was really nice - save the 5 rise locks! But even so, a lot of fun! Thanks!

My first half marathon and the people were great, I'd definitely do it again

I liked that it was a simple flat path, people were so friendly it didn't matter how slow I was. It felt quite peaceful at time along the canal.

Run was lovely, but start and finish line chaotic

I was surprised to not see more marshalls out on the course. Also the start/finish line was a bit chaotic with people milling about in the way. Getting my number was very smooth and a great pork pie at the end. But just thought the start and finish could have been managed better.

Very good over all

Organisation was spot on the staff was friendly and supportive too, everyone running no matter which race was so supportive and made it much for fun. The water stations was an issue as some water bottles on route would have been great rather than having to stop. A proper description of the route would of been nice prior to the event

Very good event, relaxed, fun and felt like you were out running with a big group of friends.

Well organised and didn’t feel like starting in the Mario kart game at the beginning :-)

Great scenery but the actual run was a bit chaotic could have done with a bit more atmosphere like people cheering on but of music etc etc

Very good day

The water stations are inadequate , jugs of water that you have to stop to fill do not lend themselves to being able to do a pb , I feel a description of the water stations should be in the race info .

Great run with a very friendly atmosphere

My first 'proper' half running with others, I was very impressed with the set up, easy to navigate to where we needed to go to get the number and to the start line.
The staff were great, friendly and welcoming! It was a very good first run for me! I'm sure I will be back!

The pies, sweets and crisps afterwards were a great touch!

Only issue was that you ran out of cups in Saltaire. So I couldn't get a water top up when needed! Otherwise, solid.
