Great relaxed event

First grim up north event , really relaxed and enjoyed it. Lovely route on the canal and back and wasn’t too narrow or busy at any point.

Enjoyable overall

I'll just echo the views on finding the start, I think the regulars & organisers are probably very familiar with the area and therefore maybe a but complacent.
Also when I crossed the finish no-one even noticed, had to ask for a medal, pie & drink.

Nice friendly race

More instructions on where to find the start would be helpful. We went to Salts Mill car park and then couldn’t get through due to a locked gate. We weren’t the only ones either - there were at least 10 other people there who were equally lost. This meant we had v little time to use the toilets and get our numbers before the start. The What Three Words location was helpful and helped us find the place in the end, but because the instructions had said Salts Mill we thought we could just follow signs and get parked there, and we were very wrong!

Great event!

It was everything I expected from a Grim event. Friendly welcome, easy route to follow, supportive marshalls, magnificent medal and tasty treats. Look forward to the next one

Very friendly event

Great event, really well organised and extremely friendly and supportive to everyone. A perfect race to start the year and the pork pies at the end were superb!

Great organisation great atmosphere

Personally think start time should be as advertised - not having to wait for those needing toilet. Not the fault of organisers - as always superb organisation, friendly and lovely pies at the end

Loved it

This was my first ever half and I really enjoyed this run, although 5 locks was a bit of a shock! I can now say I’ve done it so all is forgiven.

Really fun first half

My first half marathon. I really enjoyed it, well organised, friendly marshalls, lovely route, fantastic medal.

Only complaint would be at the finishing line, there were people (finished runners) in the way of the finishing line when I finished, which I had to dodge round. I understand its a public path though.
