We’re a cup-less race — to reduce waste, please bring your own reusable bottle or cup. Feed stations every 3 miles provide water and snacks.
For your safety, over-ear headphones are banned. Bone-conduction or “one in, one out” earphones are permitted so runners can hear marshals and other participants.
Downloadable GPX files are available for all distances. While our courses are clearly marked and marshalled, not every junction will have a marshal. Please familiarise yourself with the route before race day.
If you need to withdraw mid-race, please notify the nearest marshal. In some cases, you may be able to change to a shorter distance on the day — just speak to the Race Director or timing team.
You can easily self-manage transfers and deferrals through our website. Please avoid making changes on the day as this can delay registration.
We no longer send a separate race brief — everything you need to know is right here.
However, we recommend visiting our FAQ section and joining the Grim Up North Chat Facebook Group for updates, community support, and helpful race-day tips.
