Pleasant enough but disorganised.
I ran the marathon but I have no idea what my finishing time was as there was no steward at the point where we were supposed to turn around the first of 4 laps! He was on his way but most of the marathon runners beat him to his post! About a dozen of us ran an extra km or so before we realised there was no one to tell us to turn around. Very disappointing as I'm sure we've all trained very hard for this.

Very relaxed atmosphere great place to have a run out
Lovely to see a different part of Scarborough
Thought the route was great and just seeing other runners on different mileage always lovely
Only slight niggle was that it was short on 10km so im presuming the same for all distances
Shame really but I look it like a PB for my 10km
Shall be back
Thank you Grim up North

Enjoyable
Distance incorrect. Would have been better if it had been out and back once for half marathon. Lovely event overall with excellent refreshments as usual!
John-Lee Thompson
Really enjoyable!
Another good challenging route.
I did the 10K but it was short by 0.66 of a mile which was a disappointment on the day but it won't stop me attending another event.
Friendly and relaxed event
Anthony Prior
It was amazing.
Thank you very and I hope to see you again next year.
Andrew Head
Friendly, local event with no crowds!
A great antidote to mass participation events. Lovely people, friendly and a great variety of snacks! The medal was one of the nicest I’ve ever received. I liked the out and back route with just a little bit of vert here and there. One niggle, it wasn’t half marathon distance.
Short by half a mile or so. That’s a bit of a shame and could have been easily rectified in planning.

Great event but markings were fell short
The overall event was great - great setup and organisation, clear instructions given at the starts and signs were easy to follow. Everyone there was really friendly and great variety of treats at the end!
The only thing for me is that the markings fell short so the run was only 20.3k which was a bit disappointing especially for those hoping to get a PB or maybe doing their first half marathon.

It’s not so grim up north
Very friendly event with stunning scenery and the 4xout and back worked better than I anticipated
Marshals did a fabulous job and the food/treats were spot on

A reet gud run
It had everything you could want in a 'reet gud' run. Friendly, helpful folk at the start and on the course. Well organised but relaxed atmousephere. A bit of up and a bit of down. Stretches of flat tarmac and cinder track. Well signed and/or marshalled. Enough stuff at checkpoints and more than enough at the finish.

Nice event
Course was a bit short and it was a tough start up the hill but really nice friendly event. Will definitely attend another Grim event.
Adrian Merritt
Nice course and well organised, although slightly disappointed that the 10k distance fell short by a full kilometre. Great snacks at finish and very friendly organisers/marshalls. The out and back course was great for encouraging other runners
Helen Atkin-Tyrrell
Nice event to do in a different place
Andrew Bates
Friendly welcoming atmosphere and fabulous doughnuts!
Debra Plews
Such a well organised, friendly event.
Me and my daughter ran the half marathon and loved it.
Vicky Webster
Great race, friendly marshals, well signed, good choice of food and drink at the finish, lovely route and scenery
Kathleen Ellis
Very well organised
This was a beginner friendly race with Marshalls and way markers. A good choice of distances and an impressive assortment of refreshments.
Annette Dennis
Really enjoyed this event. Would love to participate next year but no 5k option?
Michael Shaw
Very good
Marc Mason
Great race!
I actually liked the multiple laps, as it meant you could talk to lots of the runners - especially those running the longer distances. Just a shame the turnaround point was a little short again.
