Well organised, flat terrain.
Daniel Aldus
Friendly Low key flat trail marathon
Enjoyed another GRIM event. As I do the marathon event I’m used to the 2 laps, even if I don’t like them when I’ve started too fast
Rachel Coyle
A relaxed, happy event with a great medal
Sue Harrower
Really friendly, well organised.
Second time I’ve run a Grim up North 10k. Lovely medals, cakes and treats at the end….what’s not to like? Will be booking another one for sure.
Tracey Thompson
Great low key race
I must admit I was worried when we arrived as there was hardly anyone around. But people appeared near to the start of the race. Overall, found it very friendly and well organised. Well marshalled and signposted. The refreshments at the end were very welcome, especially the melon! And loved the medal, I don't need any more t-shirts!
Gill Greaves
Friendly for beginners
Friendly staff

Had a great time, will definitely do it again! Thanks

A lovely trail run along a nice quiet lane
I enjoyed the whole experience. The water melon at the end was a brilliant idea....
I enjoyed it that much I have signed up for the sister event at the end of August.
Only slow point was crossing the main road....but I got lucky, however I guess you could lose up to 30 seconds if the traffic was against you.

The event was good. There were a few improvements that could be made but over all I would book another event with this company.
1. Aid station- drinks could be poured and handed to us to save time us pouring them ourselves.
Sweet tubs could be open ready to grab a handful instead of having to open them.
2. Portaloo’s- I know it was a trail run, and there were plenty of loos in Hornsea on the sea front but 10/15k in a toilet would have been useful. Being a woman I wouldn’t go in a bush.
3. I would have liked the medal to say the distance on it.
4. With it being at Hornsea, I would have liked to run along the promenade to be by the sea at some point, either the start or finish. The transpennine trail was lovely but I expected the seaside.
We run by a great team
Emma Mitchell
Really enjoyed this event would definitely do again
Siobhan Taylor
Excellent event. Worth the drive out
Only one criticism - the distance was not accurate. Both mine and my friend's watches clocked 13.35 miles, which feels like a lot at the end of a run,and knocks your time out.

I’ve done quite a few Grim Up North events this year, always enjoyable.
Please do the Skipton race again next year, ran the marathon on the 4th May, awesome course
Chris McGuire
Awesome as always
Another top event with a family feel by the grim team. Top work and I’m looking forward to the next
