Signposting could be much clearer. Where start of race was. I did not know where race ended -was nit clear with so many people milling around- had to stop and ask exactly where I needed to stop.. Providing a plastic sheet for putting belongings would have been helpful rather than having to leave bag in wet earth and also a place where ut would not be trampled on.

Love running with Grim Up North every time! Very well organised, VERY accommodating with last min’ changes, very supportive and inclusive (the support and encouragement to my autistic son is awesome!) LOVE GRIM!!!

I’ve ran many events this year with Grim Up North from Barnsley to Hornsea, they do what they say on the tin. In my humble opinion they have the best medals if that’s your motivation, for me it’s all about choice of route and a welcoming team. I travel from the East Coast to run the Grim Up North events and I have already booked events for 2026. Thank you for everything this year, I’ve ran marathons, ultra marathons, half marathons and 15 milers and they have all be great with you. Keep up the great work, and I love the fact you also help local charities

The company wouldn't let cancel or refund my money, first they said I needed to provide proof or purchase which I did, then they said I need to provide a bank statement (ridiculous but I still did) then they said i had to provide a doctors note, which I did - none of this was or is stated in the terms of conditions, then they said i had to provide i.d which I did, then they said - 'you didn't purchase refundable tickets' so I sent them your email which literally stated 'you purchased refundable tickets' I sent them that - then they just ignored my emails.

So no, I would not recommend you, i'm actually telling anyone who listens in the running community that you are not a trust worthy company

I had a shocker.. resulting in a mini meltdown at the end.. but the lovely Marshall was straight on to me to help... got me a bench and a drink and sat and chatted. Very kind with so much else going on around.

Better instructions about where to register and where run begins beforehand. Registration signage not clear for people with shorter registration period (queues of people registering for much later races mean you couldn't hear anyone inside registration office). All support staff were friendly, helpful and hardworking. Thank you to everyone xx

I liked the course and medal, and the treats after were good. However, I found it slightly unclear where the registration area was and for a christmas event there was a lack of atmosphere or anything christmas related except the medal and some people dressed up. Would definitely do it again but did expect more christmas atmosphere.
