A lovely run with a super friendly atmosphere. Briefing had all the info, distance out and back, watch out for roads, be courteous to other canal path users, etc.
Toilets at start and finish. Drinks available on the course. Delicious cake at the finish.
Coming down the locks on the way back gives a great boost to the finish line.

I really don't like people hovering around the timing plate. Terns out I was the first female to finish the 10 miler I didn't know this untill the results came out, would have been nice to have some acknowledgement of the achievement

This was my 4th race with its grim up north running and it most definitely wont be my last! The whole team are so friendly and welcoming! The course is well routed and directions on distances are made very clear. The handly marshals cheering you along the way, with fuel stations if needed. Honstley cant fault its grim up north running, i recommend them to all beginners to advances runners! Plus the medal are always amazing! Thank you again! See you again at Oktoberfest

First 10k race didn't know what yo expect. Loved it well organised and the atmosphere was great. Managed a 4 min PB

This was my first official race and was welcomed by friendly staff and other runners. Couldn't have asked for a better day

I really enjoyed the half marathon today and think the start and registration was well organised. However I do agree with others’ that there needed to be markers/arrows, and a couple more Marshalls. This would have made it perfect.

Loved the goodies and the medal too.

Would fully recommend the grim events to anyone looking for a friendly and supportive community of runners.

i entered this one and did it after the parkrun at Roberts park love the course out and back Grim up north are really good and will keep going to their events

Super friendly marshals, super friendly fellow runners - 4th from last in the 10k and zero embarrassment, all aid stations were brilliantly stocked as sometimes as a slower runner they can be grim, really clear where and when to be. Maybe an arrow or two at some of the points on the canal where you can leave or continue would be good for peace of mind, and small markers at the turning round points as if I hadn’t asked the chap if this was the 10k turnaround I may have continued! I do feel like it should be very clear that you are going to be climbing five rise locks as that is definitely a challenge and a shock if you’re not local. Overall, brilliant morning, thank you! See you in Kirkstall in November
