Enjoyable and friendly run with beautiful scenery

There were some areas where it wasn't clear which way to go. I took a wrong turn up over a bridge and should of gone under. Luckily I realised and was able to get a ver a wall and back on track. Some signs in these areas would of been helpful. Otherwise great run.

Felt happy, safe and, after finishing, rather full of goodies!

No marshall at 3 mile turnround point, but the prevalence of GPS watches would tend to overcome this. Course could avoid the only road crossing, at 6.25 mile mark, by going further out than the lock/turnround point at the existing 3 mile mark...safer for running. Very enjoyable route, peaceful, lovely atmosphere at start/finish, grest food, goidies and medal!

Great It's Grim event, friendly, scenic and great post race burger!

My first It's Grim event and it was most enjoyable. Lovely warm welcome from the Grim team, friendly runners and a great spread afterwards. Slight down side was the confusion at the 3 mile turn resulted in a 50 meter short half which was a shame.

Nice atmosphere, need to tighten up the organisation a little.

Loved it! Apart from the five steps lock

Great event and value for money with all the treats at the finish line. There was obviously a problem with communication regarding the start time for the half and unfortunately no marshal at the three mile turning point. Fantastic atmosphere and beautiful scenery but it might be worth considering avoiding the five step lock which was a killer. Apart from that I only have positive feedback, keep it going

Very friendly but needs to tighten up the organisation a bit

Start good with clear instructions but there were different start times on different platforms for the 10k and half. Marathon runners set off to Leeds and there was no marshal in place for the turnaround! Most if not all ended up running well over 26.2 and no water/ food at that end of the course all day. Great food and drink at the end, which also meant good food and drink as you went past during the race. And the medals are always worth having!

Brilliantly organised, super friendly. Met some really lovely people with great stories. And I got cake afterwards. What’s not to like? Thank you!

Brilliant!

Only my second event as more a road runner event but it’s an absolute pleasure to attend. They are low key but still serious and you’ll meet a real range of runners there where there’s no pressure to perform. It’s a runner friendly atmosphere , lovely staff and they always look after you.

Some of the courses are more demanding than others so choose what’s best for you ; but overall they are all doable and you’ll have a massive sense of achievement once done! Great burger at the end too ! 100% recommend.

Amazing and very friendly atmosphere

The event was amazing, the course was really nice and well managed making it an enjoyable run.
The organisers did an amazing job and the value of money is fantastic. The fact that the medal was included in the price and then there were hit food and snacks as well made it even better. I’ll defo be back
